Chapter Twenty: Daylight Flight
"So... it really is possible to fall, isn't it?"
Cheng Yingxue, having struggled to pull herself up, raised her head with a dazed expression, tears still welling in her eyes.
Su Changling, witnessing this, shrugged without the slightest hint of surprise. "See? I told you that you would fall."
"Your forefeet currently have almost no strength, and the muscles, restricted by those white bandages for so long, have withered severely. If you want to walk like a normal person again, you have a lot of practicing to do!"
"All right, Miss Cheng, let me help you up so we can try taking a few steps—let's not rush this time," Su Changling said. Having finished, she leaned down and gripped the young girl’s arm, lifting her with effortless grace, while simultaneously glancing at her newly liberated feet.
In truth, the girl’s natural feet were not large at all—barely over six inches (roughly a size 34). It was hard to fathom why those people had
