“Of course. Just tell me what our little junior sister wants to grow, and I’ll help you,” Mo Yu said with a grin as he looked at Si Nan Sheng.

“Mm. Fourth Senior Brother, Fifth Senior Brother, Master said that I’m to join you on the next secret-realm expedition.

“There’s something I’d like to discuss with you. I hope you’ll agree.”

Gnawing on a chicken leg, Si Nan Sheng turned to Mo Lie and Mo Yu.

“What is it?” the two of them asked, looking at her.

“Once we enter the secret realm, I hope you’ll both listen to me.”

“Why?” Ye Yan Qing asked, puzzled.

“All I can say is that I intend to take Fourth Senior Brother with me to seize an opportunity.”

Si Nan Sheng spoke with utmost seriousness. If they did not seize it, the opportunity would fall into Liu Xue Wei’s hands—and that would bring them no benefit in the future.

Li Tian Hen and Ye Yan Qing both looked toward Mo Lie and Mo Yu.

Mo Yu was easy enough to deal with. Mo Lie, however, was cold by nature. Getting him to listen to a little girl would likely prove difficult.

“Fine.”

Mo Yu was just about to say a few words on Mo Lie’s behalf when Mo Lie spoke first.

What?

He agreed just like that?

Ye Yan Qing and Mo Yu stared blankly at Mo Lie.

Usually, Mo Lie could even disregard their master’s words. Neither of them had expected him to agree so readily to their little junior sister.

“Thank you, Fourth Senior Brother.” Si Nan Sheng smiled happily at Mo Lie.

Mo Lie calmly placed another chicken leg in her bowl.

“Wait, Fourth Senior Brother, isn’t this going too far? Leaving aside the fact that you’re my senior brother, you’re also my actual elder brother.

“How is it that whatever our little junior sister says goes, while everything I say is ignored?”

Mo Yu gazed at Mo Lie with wounded indignation. Mo Lie merely glanced at him.

“Are you our little junior sister? Are you as well-behaved as she is? You’re nothing but a mischievous monkey.”

With one sentence, he silenced Mo Yu’s grievances.

Mo Yu thought bitterly, She is well-behaved, yes, but, Brother, that was cruel.

“Good disciple, can you tell your master what opportunity you intend to seize?” Li Tian Hen looked at his youngest disciple. He had a feeling she was hiding something from them.

“Of course it’s an opportunity we absolutely must obtain. You’ll know once we return, Master.” Si Nan Sheng gave Li Tian Hen a mischievous smile and offered no explanation.

With Mo Lie and Mo Yu accompanying her, Li Tian Hen was not particularly worried.

After the meal, Mo Yu went to refine pills. He wanted to prepare all the medicinal pills they would need before entering the secret realm.

He also had to prepare some pills for his little junior sister to protect herself.

Ye Yan Qing went to draw protective talismans for them as well.

While everyone else was busy, Si Nan Sheng clung to Mo Lie and went down the mountain with him to buy supplies.

Mo Lie flew on his sword, while Si Nan Sheng held tightly to the back of his robe, her round eyes shining with excitement as she gazed at the scenery below.

Noticing her thoughts, Mo Lie thoughtfully slowed the sword and flew lower, allowing her to see the landscape beneath them more clearly.

When he turned to look at the delighted smile on her face, his heart ached slightly. Their little junior sister was truly so easily satisfied.

“This is Southwatch City. Most of the things we need can be bought here. Fighting is forbidden within the city, and anyone caught doing so will lose the right to enter.”

After landing outside the city with Si Nan Sheng, Mo Lie introduced the place to her in his usual calm tone.

Southwatch City. She knew this place. The selection of spirit weapons and medicinal pills sold here was extensive, and the prices were not especially high, so many cultivators were willing to come here to shop.

She had only been here twice, though.

And both times, she had merely been passing through.

She had almost no spirit stones to spare for shopping.

“Little Junior Sister, what do you want to buy?”

“Eldest Senior Brother taught me how to draw talismans, but I’ve already used up all the talisman paper he gave me. Fourth Senior Brother, let’s buy talisman paper first, then look around for anything else we might need.”

Si Nan Sheng returned to herself and explained her main purpose.

“All right. I’ll take you there.”

Mo Lie led Si Nan Sheng into the city and directly to a large shop called the Treasure Pavilion.

The Treasure Pavilion carried an astonishing variety of goods—practically anything one could imagine.

“The young master of the Treasure Pavilion is my friend. We’ll go straight to him.”

Mo Lie took Si Nan Sheng upstairs and entered a room.

“Well, well. Didn’t you just leave? What brings you back so soon?”

A white-robed young man in the room smiled faintly when he saw Mo Lie.

Si Nan Sheng poked her fluffy little head out from behind Mo Lie and looked at him.

“Where did you abduct this little girl from? She looks a bit malnourished.”

The young man could not help staring when he saw Si Nan Sheng.

He knew this friend of his very well. Normally, Mo Lie spent most of his time with Mo Yu and him.

Mo Lie never spoke to women when he went out, yet now he had actually brought a little girl to see him?

“Little Junior Sister, this is Qi Xuan, the young master of the Treasure Pavilion.” Mo Lie ignored him and lowered his head to introduce him to Si Nan Sheng.

Si Nan Sheng looked at Qi Xuan and remembered him.

After Fourth Senior Brother and Fifth Senior Brother died, Qi Xuan had been the one to collect their bodies. During the process, Liu Xue Wei had even damaged his cultivation foundation.

From then on, his cultivation had stagnated, and he had eventually died in despair.

Looking at Qi Xuan’s warm, springlike smile, Si Nan Sheng’s impression of him improved further.

“Hello, Brother Qi Xuan. My name is Si Nan Sheng.” Si Nan Sheng greeted him.

“You… hello. Mo Lie, is this your little junior sister?” Qi Xuan greeted Si Nan Sheng first, then turned to Mo Lie.

Originally, Qi Xuan had been adventuring alongside Mo Lie and Mo Yu.

Then Ye Yan Qing sent word that their master had brought back a little junior sister.

After that, the two of them had lost all interest in continuing their adventure.

If they had not wanted to prepare gifts for their little junior sister, they would have slipped away long ago.

“She is my little junior sister,” Mo Lie said calmly.

“Oh, don’t be so particular. With the relationship between us, isn’t your little junior sister my little junior sister too? What does she need to buy?”

Qi Xuan completely ignored Mo Lie and smiled at Si Nan Sheng.

“She needs some talisman paper, so I brought her here to buy it,” Mo Lie said, leading Si Nan Sheng inside.

Without the slightest hesitation, he picked up the pastries on the table and placed them in front of Si Nan Sheng for her to eat.

“We have plenty of talisman paper. How much do you need?”

Mo Lie looked at Si Nan Sheng. Since these were things she needed, naturally she should decide for herself.

Si Nan Sheng thought for a moment and calculated roughly how many talismans she would require. Her cultivation was still rather low, and since she was about to enter a secret realm, she naturally needed to prepare more means of self-defense, just in case.

“Brother Qi Xuan, how much can one completed talisman sell for?”

“That depends. It varies according to the talisman’s level and grade. The poorest ones cost a few spirit stones, while better ones can cost several thousand. The finest can sell for tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, of spirit stones each.”

Qi Xuan did not know why she was asking and gave her a general answer.

“Then I’ll have ten thousand to start.”

Half for herself and half to leave for Eldest Senior Brother. That should last them for a while, right?

“Do you really need that many?” Qi Xuan’s eyes widened.

“Mm-hmm.”

Si Nan Sheng took out the storage pouch Mo Lie had given her and handed it to Qi Xuan.

She had already removed some of the spirit stones from it.

When Qi Xuan saw the storage pouch, he glanced at Mo Lie.

He was very familiar with it. He saw it often.

Wasn’t this the pouch Mo Lie usually used?

He had not expected Mo Lie to simply give it to his little junior sister.

Could his friend be one of those men who were hopelessly obsessed with their little sisters?
