Volume 1, Chapter 23: The Armored T-Battalion
The soldiers below did not recognize Lu Yunduan, and a buzz of discussion immediately broke out.
"Who is this man coming out of the main military tent?"
"I don't know, but since he is walking ahead of General Cao and General Chang, he must be someone of great importance."
Lu Yunduan walked to the side, his voice turning stern. "Soldiers, I have gathered you here today to witness something: the execution of these two scoundrels."
The crowd erupted in an uproar, whispering in disbelief, doubting their own ears. What did he say? He wanted to execute Captain Xu and his nephew?

"Brother Lin Fan, you’ve finally returned! We were worried sick about you," Huang Rong said, her tone tinged with reproach as she felt a weight lift from her heart upon seeing it was Lin Fan.
"We will reach the Divine Court territory in another week," Lan Hai said to Lin Fan on the deck.
"Hehe, Old Wei, Old Du, I’m only joking. How could I ever go against you? Don't worry, if we all make it out alive, I’ll double your pay," Long Xingyun promised.
A resonant chime echoed through the air, shaking everyone to their core, followed by a lingering melody of a zither that seemed to ring in their ears.
Chi Yang looked on with a grave and incredulous expression. His gaze toward Zhang Wei grew increasingly wary, a sense of impending crisis rising in his heart.
In a secluded grove near the inn, Lin Fan looked at Huang Rong and said, "Rong'er, there is something I must tell you. You will have to make the final decision on this matter; I will not force you."
Wang Li dared not struggle too hard, for his arm had only just been set, and any sudden movement might displace the bone again. He looked up to explain himself to Li Xiong, only to be met with a sight that made his blood run cold.
Shangguan Song, Liu Fengwu, and their companion stared in astonishment at the four ferocious, terrifyingly thick pythons on the surface of the sea. They realized that these giant snakes were actually the four barbels of the Blue Kun.
However, the wounded Witch God was not so easily escaped. Although he had hidden himself, the attack on his soul had left a mark upon him.
The cave entrance was narrow at first, wide enough for only one person, but after walking a few dozen paces, it suddenly opened up into a bright and spacious chamber.
Today was no different; the dining room was, as usual, empty save for her. However, judging by the busy state of the servants, Mu Xuncheng must still be at home. It was quite rare for him not to have gone out, though she wondered what he was doing.
Qing Kuang’s eyes flashed. Since Dongfang Yu hadn't managed to kill her, had he now turned his target toward Ouyang Xing’s business interests?
Hearing the sound, Ling Tianqi turned silently, his gaze still unfocused—a look Gu Yuancheng had never seen in all these years.
Just like his father, he was duplicitous. Despite his words, Boji silently extinguished the cigarette he had just lit.
Seeing that Heizi did not evade his sharp gaze, the doubt in Fu Sheng’en’s heart almost vanished entirely.
Suddenly, he spotted a familiar figure heading behind the rockery. Ouyang Xing’s eyes narrowed; he paused for a moment before holding his breath and quietly following.
Was Fairy Zixia pathetic? She didn't know; she only knew that, in truth, she was quite miserable. Lawyer Yao was also a pitiable soul.
Ouyang Xing pointed all the fingers of blame at Ouyang Qingkuang, casting all the faults upon her.
Watching Lin Shuran’s bashful expression, Xia Muhan found it amusing and offered her words of comfort.
Clearly, the old emperor was deeply displeased by her hesitation. The more she defended that person, the more the Emperor despised them.
With only a dozen minutes left until the end of the match, it would be extremely difficult to overcome a two-goal deficit, especially here in Fiorentina’s den.
The level of concealment offered by this method was as different from the "Fate Not Yet Ended" technique as heaven is from earth.
If she were not made to truly suffer and learn her lesson, she would never repent, repeating her mistakes over and over again.
After the halftime break, the players from both sides returned to the pitch. Bayern made the first tactical adjustment, substituting Ribéry for Gomez.
The match tonight attracted German officials to the scene, with the presence of President Gauck and Chancellor Merkel adding a brilliant luster to the evening.
"Could Fang Tang be planning to drug Zhu Zhiping?" Master Song pondered. Every week, a video was uploaded online. It was a Domino program that Zhu Zhiping had spent years developing, one that neither hackers nor white-hats could crack. The Song family used these videos to constantly stir up public opinion.
"That won't do. They are already standing on the edge of a cliff. The worst that happens to the boss is a five-million loss, but they—having been on the verge of becoming tech heroes like Mark Andreessen—are being instantly knocked back to square one. Who should be more anxious, us or them?" Jimmy said.
Ant kept his mouth shut; he truly couldn't understand why the CEO had become so strange. Originally scheduled for an evening flight, he had changed it to the morning.
Chen Jiao kept her head down, saying nothing. No one could tell what she was thinking, though her expression was somewhat profound.
The masters who had firmly believed the painting was the work of Yuan Mengcheng scoffed in disdain. This was all hindsight! Before the heavy ink was washed away, who would have dared to guarantee it was a Li Yi original?
His breathing was faint and did not disturb Hua Xi. He had intended to go in, but upon seeing her, he stopped in his tracks.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his shoulders as he was forcefully pinned against a plum tree. Leaning down, he kissed her. His cool lips, smelling of mint, pressed firmly against hers. His slender hand held the back of her head, leaving her unable to move. Before she could even muster the strength to resist, he bit her lip as if in punishment.
That was because he also possessed this mysterious, peerless, and domineering power. In fact, what he possessed was not the Source of Chaos, but the Origin of Chaos itself.
"Childish!" Tangtang spat out coldly. She could not help but turn over to lie sideways on the chair, preparing to take a nap while waiting for her father to come and pick her up.
After all, the great clans and major factions had extremely deep foundations, and their disciples were mostly gifted with exceptional talent, so they did not crave the Spirit-Breaking Pill to such an extent.
She was quite skilled; back in school, she and Gu Sijiu had been the campus bullies, undefeated in every fight.
