Reflections on Publication

The month-long period for new books has passed, and finally, the time has come for this novel to be officially launched and for its performance to be tested. I have already arranged with my editor to have the book go live tomorrow at noon. I sincerely ask everyone to support this book; the first subscriptions and ongoing support are truly vital for me. The author bows in gratitude to all of you!

To be honest, detective and crime-solving novels are a niche genre on Qidian, and with the story set in America, it becomes even more niche within a niche. That I have persisted to this point is thanks entirely to the silent support of all my readers, and to the unwavering encouragement from my editor.

I promise you that after the book launches, tomorrow’s update will be even more substantial, and there will never be a break in releases. Many readers have made suggestions, and I will make adjustments as appropriate, striving to satisfy everyone as much as possible without altering the fundamental tone of the book.

Lastly, there’s the matter of the plot. Some readers have said the story progresses too slowly... Alas, this is my first time writing a detective novel, and every time I design a case, I nearly pull my hair out. I need to ensure each case is logical, while keeping every character true to their role in the story—this is truly a challenge for a new author.

Nevertheless, I am not worried. As long as you continue to support me, sacrificing my hair is a small price to pay!
