It's the New Year!
Yesterday, I posted this notice in the related works section. However, upon reflection, it didn’t seem very prominent.
With the New Year fast approaching, although I don’t have many readers at the moment, I still want to wish everyone a happy New Year. Today marks the twenty-ninth day of the twelfth lunar month. Yet in recent years, the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival has seemed to fade. I remember when I was young, from the twenty-fourth or twenty-fifth day of the twelfth month, the anticipation for the New Year would begin. The house was bustling with preparations, dumplings were being made, and goods for the festival were being stocked up. I would buy piles of firecrackers and sparklers, enough to play with for several days.
But now, even today I don’t feel particularly excited. And I must admit, the Spring Festival Gala has grown duller with each passing year. When I was a child watching Journey to the West, I always thought that in the Year of the Monkey, the Monkey King would surely make an appearance—there would be no question about it. Yet, everyone knows what actually happened that year. The language programs always seem to end on a sentimental note. Isn’t it awkward? But… art serves politics, so let’s not dwell on it.
Fragrant steps, plum blossoms, floral arrangements, candlelight glowing red. Joy for both old and new years, all celebrated in a single night.
In the end, I hope that everyone in the Year of the Dog will achieve new progress and move one step closer to their dreams.
Oh, by the way, the New Year is a busy time, and I’m sure everyone is busy as well, so the updates will be paused for a few days.
This takes effect immediately, with the end date to be determined. "Spirit Banishment" celebrates the New Year!
