Yang Xiao and Lin Tian flew onward, and after more than half a day, they arrived at a mysterious place within the Heavenly Sword Mountain Range.

The area was shrouded in gloomy mist all year round, while a violent current of air slowly surged through it. At first glance, the current did not seem particularly powerful. Yet when Yang Xiao saw a leaf that had drifted in from who knew where instantly shredded to pieces by the air, his opinion of it changed completely. Clearly, this current was exceedingly troublesome. If he entered it and came under attack for any length of time, he feared that even he would find it difficult to withstand.

“Could this be the location of the Linglang Blessed Land?” Yang Xiao asked doubtfully.

“That is correct. This is indeed the place,” Lin Tian replied with certainty.

“I never imagined that the Linglang Blessed Land would be situated within the Heavenly Sword Mountain Range, and so close to the Heavenly Sword Sect, too.” Yang Xiao was somewhat astonished.

“Yes. In truth, the Linglang Blessed Land has existed for ten thousand years, while the Heavenly Sword Sect has been around for only a few thousand. The blessed land was established here long before the sect later moved to this region. And precisely because it lies so close to the Heavenly Sword Sect, I chose to join the sect’s marketplace for experience,” Lin Tian explained.

“The Heavenly Sword Sect has failed to discover the Linglang Blessed Land all these years because of the currents surrounding it, I presume?” Yang Xiao continued.

“That is one reason. These currents are extremely powerful. Even cultivators of the Celestial Cycle Realm cannot remain inside them for long. Consequently, the surrounding area has been designated a forbidden zone by the Heavenly Sword Sect, and ordinary disciples would never come anywhere near it.

“There is another reason the sect has never discovered the blessed land: the Heavenly Sword Mountain Range is simply too vast. The Heavenly Sword Sect occupies less than a third of it, and the territory under its control faces the central heartland of the Yao Kingdom. The Linglang Blessed Land, however, was established on the opposite side of the range, making it much harder to find.

“Our ancestor, Linlang, deliberately chose this location when he established the blessed land. He was probably trying to avoid having his cultivation disturbed,” Lin Tian explained.

As he spoke, Lin Tian took a command token from his storage pouch. The token was crystal clear and exquisitely crafted, though Yang Xiao could not identify the material from which it had been made.

Lin Tian raised the token and gave it a slight wave toward the currents. The terrifying streams of air seemed to come alive, actively opening a passage through themselves. Yang Xiao and Lin Tian walked through it, completely unaffected by the currents around them. The sight was exceedingly strange.

Before long, they reached a place deep within the currents. Beyond this point, the air currents vanished, but the view ahead remained gray and hazy, with visibility even worse than before. Relying on his experience, Yang Xiao realized that another layer of restrictions must lie ahead. This prohibition was entirely different from the currents, yet it was likely just as difficult to break through—perhaps even far more troublesome than the outer layer.

“The other restriction begins just ahead. We cannot pass through it directly; we must rely on the power of a teleportation array,” Lin Tian explained, just as expected. He then led Yang Xiao to the central point of the formation.

Yang Xiao examined the site. There was nothing particularly unusual about it compared with the surrounding area—only a relatively flat patch of open ground.

However, when Lin Tian activated the power within the token, spiritual energy instantly erupted from the earth. A massive array of light took shape upon the ground and began to rotate slowly. The runes upon it were extraordinarily intricate, making it obvious at a glance that the formation was no ordinary one.

“The teleportation array created by Senior Linlang truly is remarkable. It is actually a concealed formation so difficult to detect,” Yang Xiao murmured in admiration.

“My ancestor was not only highly skilled in artifact refinement; his attainments in formations were equally extraordinary,” Lin Tian said with a pleased chuckle after hearing Yang Xiao’s words.

“That much is evident. Even the protective formation surrounding the Linglang Blessed Land is beyond the abilities of ordinary formation grandmasters. Senior Linlang was indeed a man of many talents.” Yang Xiao could not help but offer another word of praise.

Lin Tian said nothing, but the pride on his face was impossible to conceal. The two soon reached the center of the teleportation array. Lin Tian activated the formation, and as it began to operate, a beam of white light engulfed them both.

When Yang Xiao and Lin Tian emerged from the other end of the teleportation array a short while later, Yang Xiao discovered that the world around them had been transformed completely. Birds sang among fragrant flowers, and the scenery was almost indistinguishable from the legendary immortal realm.

It was difficult to imagine that outside the Linglang Blessed Land lay a barren wilderness where not even weeds could grow, while within it the world had changed so dramatically.

What astonished Yang Xiao most was the abundance of spiritual energy within the Linglang Blessed Land. After circulating his cultivation technique briefly, he felt an indescribable comfort throughout his body. Even his breathing was exceptionally smooth, and he could faintly see streams of spiritual energy flowing through the air around him. It was truly miraculous. There was absolutely nothing like this outside the blessed land.

“Brother Yang Xiao has sensed the unusual abundance of spiritual energy here as well, hasn’t he? That is because our ancestor, Linlang, established several other grand formations within the blessed land. These formations serve to gather spiritual energy, so the spiritual energy here is far richer than that of the outside world,” Lin Tian explained.

“So that is how it is. No wonder the spiritual flowers and herbs here grow so luxuriantly. It seems their vigor is all due to the abundance of spiritual energy. Cultivating in a place like this must greatly accelerate one’s progress.” Yang Xiao sounded somewhat envious.

“This place is nothing compared with the site where our ancestor Linlang once cultivated. There is a supreme spirit-gathering formation there, and that mountain contains the richest spiritual energy in the entire blessed land. The energy there is more than a hundred times denser than here. Cultivating there truly allows one to advance with astonishing speed.

“However, that mountain is normally sealed off, and the disciples are not permitted to cultivate there. Only after the competition ends will the victorious disciples be granted the right to enter. So once again, I must ask for your help, Brother Yang Xiao. During the competition, you must do everything in your power to help our clan secure victory,” Lin Tian said.

“After hearing you describe that supreme spirit-gathering formation, I am quite eager to see it myself. Rest assured, I will do my utmost in the competition,” Yang Xiao promised.

“Excellent. We shall go and meet my grandfather now. He is the current patriarch of our clan. I already informed him earlier, and he instructed me to bring you to him first after arriving at the Linglang Blessed Land.”

As he spoke, Lin Tian led Yang Xiao to a certain mountain peak within the Linglang Blessed Land and entered one of the grotto dwellings there.

Inside, they met Lin Ke, Lin Tian’s grandfather. Two young people also stood respectfully beside him—a man and a woman. The young man was handsome and refined, while the young woman was exceptionally beautiful.

When Lin Ke saw Yang Xiao arrive, he rose at once to welcome him with immense enthusiasm, as though he had been expecting him all along.
