Why is it that only by elevating Zhang Mingjing’s realm can the five-dimensional spatial thinking model be perfectly compatible with him?

Because the five-dimensional spatial thinking model itself is the consciousness form of a high-level being!

Especially this five-dimensional spatial thinking model—it not only needs an environment suitable for its own existence, but it always considers itself a master hidden from the world, longing for a utopia. And Zhang Mingjing’s consciousness is now the environment in which it lives!

Since it has already been implanted into Zhang Mingjing’s consciousness, it can no longer choose its fate, yet his thoughts are saturated with various low-dimensional patterns of the three-dimensional world. To improve its own quality of life, it has no choice but to transform its surroundings.

It is conducting a thorough cleansing of the mental environment, gradually eradicating the negative rotational energies in Zhang Mingjing’s inner world.

Does this mean Zhang Mingjing is quite miserable?

His mind is being cultivated like land by someone else, yet this is the reality. Perhaps it is not necessarily a bad thing for him.

What kind of person is Zhang Mingjing?

He is, in essence, someone who neither loves nor excels at change—somewhat monotonous and rigid.

Put simply, he is the sort who lacks ambition.

Had nothing happened to the sun, had no monsters appeared, while his peers were planning to study abroad, attend university, or start businesses, all filled with dreams, he remained unchanged, never reflecting on the past nor planning for the future (except for leaving home), never holding onto a dream for more than a week (save for gaming), living day by day as if that was the style of his youth.

Even when the five-dimensional spatial thinking model was implanted in him and granted him superpowers, his inertia only briefly wavered. He considered reforming himself, but soon enough, his habits returned unchanged.

Did the Celestial System choose the wrong person in Zhang Mingjing, and so the five-dimensional spatial thinking model is forced to take drastic measures?

No. Perhaps the Celestial System saw that his true nature was obscured by years of ingrained habits, like clouds veiling the sun. Yet even so, the five-dimensional spatial thinking model and the Zhang Mingjing behind those clouds remained deeply connected, so it held expectations for him and bestowed its abilities upon him.

For so long, Zhang Mingjing has relied on the creativity of the five-dimensional spatial thinking model to exceed his limits, rarely striving to develop his own potential. Yet this thinking model is inherently pioneering, and now its pioneering spirit has fixed itself upon Zhang Mingjing’s consciousness.

It likes Zhang Mingjing and wishes to truly take root in his inner world. But for the sake of both itself and Zhang Mingjing’s future, it must refine him thoroughly, shaping his mental realm to be positive and upward, perfectly matching its standards. If successful, it would be mutually beneficial.

How does the five-dimensional spatial thinking model plan to transform him?

Quite simply, by awakening his wisdom.

But can Zhang Mingjing willingly accept being transformed by another’s will?

If he accepts cheerfully, so be it. If he resists but is forced to change, even having command programs implanted, ultimately shaped into the image the model desires, then what becomes of his autonomy and dignity? How could he bear it?

Fortunately! Deep down, Zhang Mingjing does wish to change himself; otherwise, his coexistence with the five-dimensional spatial thinking model would truly be arduous!

By now, Zhang Mingjing already knows the model’s intention to transform him.

“You can’t have both the bear’s paw and fish. You want to cheat the system and be lazy at the same time—that’s impossible. You must choose one,” the model warned him.

In the past year, Zhang Mingjing has acquired many extraordinary abilities, and finally, he’s gained a hint of lofty ambition. He is unwilling to give these up.

But neither does he wish to hand his fate over to someone else. He retorted firmly, “If I compromise with you, wouldn't that be selling my soul?”

“Oh come on! I’m not the devil. What would I want with your soul?”

“But you’re hardly an angel, are you?” Zhang Mingjing pressed on, but deep inside he had already accepted the model’s suggestion for self-transformation, only outwardly resisting to preserve his dignity.

He continued to complain, “You want to transform me for your own requirements and standards, not mine. What does that make me?”

The five-dimensional spatial thinking model was never the type to force things, and it read his mood immediately, so it didn’t rush, but continued to gently persuade him, “Heaven moves unceasingly, and a gentleman should strive for self-improvement. Why not let go of your stubbornness and discuss with me humbly? Then we could fight side by side and create a brand-new, perfect you.”

“Every word you say leads to grand principles! Pity not a single one touches my heart, so I refuse to accept it.”

“Oh? Why doesn’t it touch you? Don’t you wish to change at all?”

“You want to forcibly change my mental realm and demand I discuss how to change with you. What kind of logic is that? It’s outright bandit logic! How can I accept it?”

“Good grief! People from three-dimensional space really are troublesome. If my words touch your heart, I want to transform you. If they don’t, I still want to transform you. Since the end result is transformation, what difference does it make whether my words touch your heart?”

How could it be meaningless? This concerns a person’s autonomy, dignity, and respect. And you call yourself a high-dimensional thinking model! How do you not understand this?” Zhang Mingjing feigned anger.

“Hahaha… I see you’re angry on the surface, but peaceful within. Truly, you’re excellent material. Surely you’ve already understood my good intentions, haven’t you? You don’t even realize, it’s because I respect you that I’m discussing this at all. Otherwise, I’d have simply blacked you out, reshaped you as I wished, and saved all this talk.”

“Go away!”

“Besides, when you’re fully compatible with me, you’ll see yourself more clearly and achieve unity of essence, energy, and spirit. That’s incredibly advantageous for you!”

“Oh, see myself! Achieve unity of essence, energy, and spirit! You sound just like Zhang Dao and Xiao Nüxia, trying to make me cultivate immortality!”

“Hahaha... You’re excellent material; of course you can cultivate to immortality!”

“Go away!... I suddenly remembered a saying: ‘A good craftsman does not carve.’ How can you so casually carve others? Clearly you’re not a good craftsman!”

“Hahaha... I am indeed a master at refining people. If not for the urgent situation and the great responsibilities you’ll soon shoulder, I wouldn’t be so hasty to refine you!”

The five-dimensional spatial thinking model had fully grasped Zhang Mingjing’s psychological logic, speaking to him like a Tai Chi master, leaving him unable to escape its grasp.

Zhang Mingjing finally had nothing left to say, for deep down he truly wasn’t angry. He did want to change himself, but resented being changed by others. Yet his nature was gentle, so a little more persuasion wouldn’t trouble him.

Of course, the five-dimensional spatial thinking model genuinely respected him; otherwise, it wouldn’t bother with this elaborate exchange and would simply act directly.

“In fact, if you yourself actively wished to change, how could it be called forced transformation by me? On the contrary, I would become your assistant in achieving self-improvement.”

Zhang Mingjing said nothing.

“Sigh! I’m tired of talking. No one is perfect. If you insist on believing I’m forcing you... Fine! Let’s say my methods are underhanded, alright? Let’s cooperate properly, and stop arguing pointlessly.”

Zhang Mingjing remained silent. The model finally urged, “Without climbing a high mountain, you won’t know how tall the sky is; without approaching a deep stream, you won’t know how thick the earth is. I only wish to push you up the mountain, kick you into the stream—not send you to the realm of demons or down to the underworld.”

After a moment, Zhang Mingjing finally replied, “Fine! Meeting someone like you, I admit defeat. But I have one condition.”

“Speak.”

“You must openly display your plan for transforming me, and it must be approved by me. I absolutely forbid you from secretly implanting any command programs.”

“That’s essential!”

And so, the five-dimensional spatial thinking model began its open transformation of Zhang Mingjing.

Zhang Mingjing also silently vowed, “How many times in life does one get to fight? With the model here, I have every advantage—timing, location, and harmony. If I don’t strive now, when will I?”

Among his peers, Zhang Mingjing was one of the gentlest, otherwise how could he calmly allow the model to discuss transforming his mind at length?

But he could never have guessed that today would mark another crucial turning point in his life. An incredible experience awaited him in five minutes, and even the model would be amazed.

“Perhaps it’s because Zhang Dao and Xiao Nüxia shaped me from childhood that I’ve always endured so much,” Zhang Mingjing complained.

“Endurance is one of life’s great virtues. That’s why I liked you in the first place,” the model praised.

“Come on, you just think I’m easy to tame, right?”

“Oh, I value your virtue!”

“That’s just grievance and helplessness, not virtue.”

“Endurance requires a price. It’s like Sun Wukong had to enter the flames and suffer to gain his fiery eyes. What you call helplessness and grievance is the fire!”

“Haha!” Zhang Mingjing shook his head in resignation, which was actually an affirmation of the model’s view.

He shook his head three times, then began to prepare for meditation.

Minutes later, he entered a deeper state than ever before. The surroundings became utterly tranquil, but not silent; on the contrary, it was tranquility amidst a cacophony.

This tranquility was different from previous meditative states. Before, no matter what sounds came from outside, he couldn’t pay attention, always pulled by a quiet force.

Now, it was entirely different. All sorts of sounds were chaotic: his heartbeat and breathing, even the flow of his blood, the metabolism and movement of his cells, the fullness of energy in his channels, the collision of energy particles—all were discernible, as detailed as could be.

Yet, despite this tumultuous world of sound, to him it was orderly, and his inner world remained wonderfully serene and harmonious.

“Amazing! This realm, this sensation... it’s perfect,” the model exclaimed.

No sooner had it finished praising than Zhang Mingjing sank deeper still, as if racing out of his body’s blood, tissues, and muscles into the boundless universe. And throughout the cosmos, there was nothing but endless tranquility and harmony.

“Could it be that serenity and harmony are the background color of the universe?” the model wondered.

Just as it finished admiring, a mass of dark, evil forces appeared, like vast nebulae roaming the universe.

“What’s happening?” Zhang Mingjing asked.

“I’m calculating for you.”

After a moment, the model remarked, “Your current vision is a projection of the cosmic holographic information you accessed when you entered deeper meditation.”

“How... wondrous!”

“Yes. It means in this state, you can perceive extremely far, you could say ‘see’ extremely far. This ability is powerful, even I may not possess it.”

“So I’ve surpassed you? Does that make you pointless for me?”

“Come off it! That’s just a petty victory.”

“Haha!”

“Then, what are those masses of dark evil forces? Why would such things exist in the universe?”
