Chapter 20: The Aloof CEO’s Hidden Flamboyance
Yun Chuxia suddenly lost her sight.
Her other senses instantly heightened.
She felt Si Yuchuan’s warm fingertips brush over her eyebrows, the tip of her nose, linger briefly on her lips, then continue downward.
The fair skin of her neck was tinged with red. His slightly rough fingertips finally rested on her beautiful collarbone.
He stopped moving.
A low, husky voice sounded:
“I remember, madam bit me last night.”
Yun Chuxia couldn’t guess what he would do next, and her body tensed even more.
Suddenly, a sharp pain at her collarbone.
His teeth gently ground against it.
Like a dull knife, irritating yet not sharp.
Yun Chuxia let out a soft breath, instinctively stepping back.
Without her sight, she lost her sense of direction. Her foot twisted, and her whole body fell backward.
Her survival instinct made her stretch out her hands to catch herself.
Suddenly, a tight grip around her waist pulled her back.
The tie covering her eyes slipped down accordingly, revealing clear, moist eyes tinged with a hint of panic, the corners slightly red, like a frightened little rabbit.
Si Yuchuan’s breath faltered.
That strange feeling came again.
Though he desired Yun Chuxia, whenever he faced those clear, pure eyes up close, it was difficult to make a move.
Instead, he felt like protecting her.
Si Yuchuan did not continue. He quickly took Yun Chuxia’s right hand and slipped a ring onto her finger.
The ring Aunt Xia gave was just the right size, sparkling beautifully on her slender, fair finger.
Yun Chuxia stared in surprise at the large diamond:
“For me?”
Si Yuchuan lowered his gaze, his eyes deep, his tone as calm as ever:
“A wedding gift.”
Yun Chuxia felt a little awkward:
“I didn’t prepare a gift for you.”
She hadn’t thought about that, and besides, she had no money.
She asked, “Is there anything you want?”
If it wasn’t too expensive, she wouldn’t mind buying it.
Although both had their own motives, they were genuinely married now. If the other’s wish wasn’t excessive, fulfilling it wouldn’t hurt.
“There is,” Si Yuchuan said, handing her a small square object into her palm. “Feed me.”
Yun Chuxia opened her hand. A piece of candy?
Just this?
That was no trouble at all. She tore open the wrapper with her fingers, about to put it in his mouth.
Si Yuchuan tilted his head, refusing: “Use your mouth.”
“...”
Yun Chuxia gave him a sharp look, thinking this man was quite shameless.
Outwardly, he appeared indifferent and aloof, but inwardly, he was quite playful.
Every time he teased her, he stopped abruptly, then tried every way to make her take the initiative.
Fine, after all, she needed something from him.
Besides, they had already shared more intimate moments.
Thinking of this, Yun Chuxia’s eyes grew resolute. With a snap, she placed the candy between her lips.
Si Yuchuan was indeed a bit tall. Yun Chuxia tiptoed, leaning forward.
He suddenly bent down, their noses touching.
Their breaths intertwined.
Yun Chuxia fixed her gaze on his lips.
The shape, the color—perfectly flawless.
And those enviable lip beads.
She remembered that sensation—soft and warm.
The lip beads drew closer, and Yun Chuxia closed her eyes.
The candy was pushed into her mouth.
The scent of orange quickly melted in her mouth, sliding down her throat.
Mmm, so sweet.
Yun Chuxia suddenly recalled that since childhood, no one had ever fed her candy.
As a child, her parents said candy was bad for her teeth and forbade it.
Growing up, she occasionally ate a few pieces but never felt the same anticipation and satisfaction as before.
Yet today’s candy inexplicably lifted her spirits.
Her eyelashes fluttered gently, and she slowly opened her eyes.
The smile on her lips hadn’t yet faded.
Si Yuchuan’s gaze was mischievous, half-smiling as he teased:
“Looks like madam really wants me to kiss you?”
