These two troublemaking friends truly did not care one bit about Ji Han's mood. They had been busy all night, so what was the harm in teasing him a little now? Besides, there were no outsiders present.

Chairman Ji was currently in a state of mental chaos. His steady, capable son had cooked something in the middle of the night and landed himself in the hospital—specifically, hospitalized for diarrhea! While the Chairman stood by in a daze, Madam Ji was busy soothing her son’s wounded soul.

"I really don't mind it, how could I possibly mind? You were born after I carried you for ten months; I even wiped your bottom when you were a child, so how could I be disgusted by a little diarrhea?"

Ji Han: "Heh."

"Don't mind," he thought. If she didn't mind, why did she pull her hand back so quickly earlier and sneak a sniff? And that expression on her face—that looked nothing like "not minding"!

Song Miaoke did her best to mediate between the mother and son, trying hard to speak on Madam Ji’s behalf. Madam Ji finally felt that Song Miaoke wasn't so bad after all; although she was a bit dim, she truly had a good heart.

Ji Han looked at the room full of people and felt his head throbbing. "Alright, I need to rest. You all should leave. This isn't some serious illness; I'll be discharged in a couple of days." Seeing the room packed with people, one might think he was suffering from a terminal disease. And those two idiots in the corner, laughing so happily—they really had no filter at all. He glared at them fiercely.

Su Zhihan scoffed and immediately tattled to Madam Ji, "Auntie Ji, look at Ji Han, he’s glaring at me! I spent the whole night busy for his sake, and this is the thanks I get?"

Madam Ji immediately sided with Su Zhihan. "Oh, Ji Han, why are you glaring at her? Zhihan and A'Yu were busy for you all night; you should be grateful, yet you glare at them instead."

Ji Han felt like dying. Why on earth did his brain short-circuit last night and lead him to call these two over? It must have been the diarrhea flushing his brain along with everything else.

Ji Han stayed in the hospital for four days, handling all his work from the hospital room. Song Miaoke also took a few days off from her company. The sweetness between the two in the hospital room was so intense that even the doctors and nurses on their rounds were taken aback. Everyone knew that this "President Ji" and his girlfriend were deeply in love, and they made sure to knock before entering, lest they walk in on something they shouldn't see.

Su Zhihan and Song Yu also visited every day, taking the opportunity to gossip with the doctors and nurses. Hospital matters were naturally kept confidential, but since they were Ji Han’s friends—and Song Yu happened to be the hospital’s owner—the young nurses spilled everything they knew.

"Oh, the last time I went for rounds, I didn't knock. As soon as I walked in, I saw President Ji and his girlfriend kissing. My goodness! I didn't even dare to take a second look!"

"I saw it too. It almost makes me want to find a boyfriend."

"I have never seen a couple that wants to kiss and cuddle every single second. Their relationship is just too good."

Su Zhihan munched on potato chips, listening with great interest. Isn't it normal for the leads to be affectionate? It was just some kissing and cuddling; they hadn't even done anything more scandalous yet. Or perhaps they had, and the nurses just didn't know.

On the day of his discharge, Su Zhihan and Song Yu both took time off to pick him up. Seeing his two "friends" arrive holding bouquets, Ji Han suddenly felt like lying back down in his hospital bed. Just looking at them made his heart ache. He didn't know how Su Zhihan had managed to corrupt Song Yu as well—could insanity be contagious?

Whether it was contagious or not, the two were certainly in high spirits. Su Zhihan presented Ji Han with a bouquet made of spicy "latiao" snacks, saying with a flourish, "You must have been eating bland food for days, so I brought you something flavorful to satisfy your cravings. I'm so good to you, right?"

Staring at the snack bouquet, Ji Han’s eyelid twitched. He almost wanted to smash the spicy strips into her face. Was he supposed to eat this? Now? Was she doing this on purpose?

Seeing his expression, Su Zhihan rolled her eyes and pretended to be regretful, snatching the bouquet back. "Looking at your face, you don't seem to like it. If you don't like it, then give it back." She paused, then added, "Oh, I forgot, you can't eat spicy food yet. Sigh, what a pity, these are my absolute favorites." With that, she tore open a pack right in front of Ji Han and began eating with relish. She didn't just eat them herself; she shared them with Song Yu and Song Miaoke, too. The three of them stood around him, snacking away.

Ji Han clutched his chest, feeling a sharp pain in his heart.

Song Yu’s gift was far more practical: a bottle of air freshener. "You’ll definitely find this useful. Next time you run into a situation like this, remember to spray this before calling us so we can be a bit more comfortable."

Ji Han stared at the air freshener, his heart aching even more. There would never be a next time! And even if there were, he would never call these two again! He hadn't died from diarrhea, but he was nearly being angered to death by them. When there was no danger, these two were the biggest danger of all.

Song Miaoke, however, thanked them cheerfully. The spicy strips were delicious and the air freshener was practical; she thought the gifts were quite good.

That was the downside of being the boss—when you get sick, the work just piles up. Although Ji Han had worked from the hospital, some tasks could only be done at the office. So, after resting at home for just one day, he returned to work. Worried about his health, Song Miaoke brought him meals for the next few days.

Looking at the daily meals Song Miaoke posted on social media, Su Zhihan couldn't help but sigh at how well Ji Han was eating. Although the meals were light, they looked delicious and nutritionally balanced. But after eating bland food for so long, Ji Han must be craving something bold, right? Why not share her own meal with him?

She acted immediately, sending photos of her lunch to Ji Han: spicy stir-fried meat, sweet and sour pork ribs, spicy chicken—everything was heavily seasoned. Ji Han, who was in the middle of a sweet lunch with Song Miaoke, glanced at his phone, and his face turned black instantly.

Song Miaoke leaned over to take a look and couldn't help but laugh. "Zhihan is definitely trying to tempt you on purpose. But her food really does look delicious; it looks so appetizing."

Ji Han sneered and shut off his phone. As long as he ignored her, he wouldn't crave that food at all! Yes, not even a little bit!

However, the next day, when he went to the restroom, he felt a burning sensation in a certain sensitive area. He hadn't been able to resist last night and had secretly eaten a little bit of the spicy food. While he didn't get diarrhea, those spicy dishes were truly a test of endurance for his rear end.
