Chapter Four: Song Yusu and Zhi Han Detained, Ji Han Sets Out to Rescue Them

Do people’s intelligence really drops when they’re in love? Ji Han felt like his IQ was already plummeting to rock bottom.
After being scolded like that, Ji Han’s face grew a bit awkward—turns out it was all his own misunderstanding.
Watching as his two friends were nearly driven mad by him, Ji Han awkwardly pressed his lips together and nervously picked at his fingers, quietly saying, “I know I was wrong. I was petty and misunderstood you all.”
Su Zhihan rolled her eyes and snorted, clearly too lazy to bother responding.
Finally, Song Yu broke the awkward silence.
“Ji Han, I’m not trying to pick on you, but tell me—what couple doesn’t argue? And every time you fight, you come to some messy place like this. Honestly, I think you don’t even want a girlfriend.”
Su Zhihan chimed in, “Exactly! If Song Miao actually went to find another guy after a fight, I’d be furious.”
“Next time you two argue, if Song Miao comes to me, I’ll introduce her to some men. There are plenty of good guys out there—no need to hang herself on your crooked tree.”
Su Zhihan grew more animated, even pulling out her phone to show them her contacts.
“Look, this one’s a super handsome college guy, and below is a mature, distinguished type. Hehe, I have so many handsome guys’ numbers!”
She worked at a veterinary clinic and had collected many contacts from pet owners, including quite a few attractive men and women.
Ji Han’s face darkened at her words. The thought of Song Miao surrounded by a chaotic crowd of men made his anger flare.
Seeing Su Zhihan getting more and more excited, Ji Han glared and said, “You wouldn’t dare introduce her to other men!”
Su Zhihan snapped back, equally fiery, “You’re scolding me! How dare you! Let’s see if I’m scared!”
She immediately grabbed her phone to call Song Miao, but Song Yu quickly snatched it away. “My goodness, spare us the drama.”
After taking the phone, he scolded Ji Han, “Ji Han, why are you fussing over a drunk? You’re really going backwards in life.”
Ji Han’s eyes widened in protest, “??? I’m not the one fussing! She’s the one trying to set up my girlfriend with other men!”
Song Yu shook his head, “That’s because you’re not behaving. If you’re fine, just go home already.”
Day by day, it was truly exhausting—no one gave him a moment of peace.
Even as Su Zhihan was dragged away, she kept cursing Ji Han with an endless variety of insults, and he had no idea where she got such a vast vocabulary.
Finally getting her into the car, Song Yu was drenched in sweat from the effort.

“Hey, I’m taking you home, alright? Behave yourself and don’t puke in my car,” Song Yu said, watching Su Zhihan babble on incoherently, already certain she’d throw up.
No, he had to come up with a plan.
Moments later, somehow he found a plastic bag.
He hooked the bag’s handles around both of Su Zhihan’s ears and warned, “If you’re going to vomit, aim for this bag. Don’t forget.”
Su Zhihan tugged at the bag hanging on her face, then closed her eyes and immediately passed out.
Sometimes when you’re unlucky, even drinking water gets stuck in your teeth. Today was definitely Song Yu’s unlucky day.
On the way home, they encountered a police checkpoint checking for drunk drivers. Everything had been fine until the officers stopped their car and Su Zhihan suddenly woke up.
The police officer’s face stiffened when he saw the intoxicated woman in the passenger seat, her face partially covered by the plastic bag.
“What’s your relationship to this woman? Why is her mouth tied with a plastic bag?”
Song Yu immediately knew the officer was suspicious and hurried to explain, “We’re friends. She’s drunk, and I’m just taking her home.”
The officer didn’t believe him. He shook Su Zhihan and asked, “Ma’am, are you conscious? Do you know this man?”
Song Yu thought the questions were pointless—she was clearly too drunk to answer.
Just as he prepared to explain again, Su Zhihan spoke up, “Who knows him? I don’t! He’s got serious issues, really serious!”
“He has so many women in his room—he’s seeing so many women. It’s disgusting! Wait, why am I in this car?”
So many women? The officer’s gaze on Song Yu grew even colder.
Song Yu was about to explode with frustration—what had he done to deserve this?
He knew Su Zhihan was talking about Ji Han when she said “disgusting,” but now her words were causing serious misunderstandings with the police.
“Listen, miss, look at me—I’m Song Yu, not Ji Han!”
But Su Zhihan was fully drunk now. She waved her hand and slapped Song Yu away, “I don’t care who you are. Get lost and stop blocking my view.”
Song Yu was on the verge of fainting from anger. What kind of mess was this?
He looked at the officer with the most sincere expression he could muster, “I’m really not a bad guy. Do I look like a bad guy to you?”

The officer nodded, “You do, actually. Nowadays, there are many attractive criminals who use their looks as bait—it’s not uncommon.”
Song Yu was speechless.
In the end, they were taken to the station.
Song Yu pulled out all his documents to prove to the police that he was a legitimate businessman.
But even so, that didn’t explain his relationship with Su Zhihan.
Finally, he had no choice but to call Ji Han. After all, this whole mess started because of him—who else could he call to sort it out?
Ji Han had just gotten home and was about to apologize to Song Miao when he received Song Yu’s call.
“Bro, I’m in trouble. Can you come to the station and pick me up?”
Ji Han: ???
What on earth? They’d only been apart for less than half an hour! And already something happened?
Ji Han had been ready to make peace with Song Miao, but Song Yu’s call interrupted everything, pushing back any chance of making up.
When they arrived at the police station and learned the full story, all three were utterly speechless.
They did their best to explain to the officers while trying to rouse Su Zhihan.
Eventually, they managed to clear up the misunderstanding.
After leaving the station, the three stood silently by the roadside.
Ji Han patted Song Yu on the shoulder with a complicated expression. “Brother, I’m sorry. I owe you one for today.”
“One favor? Is that what you call a favor? This whole mess is because of your relationship drama. I’ve never been this embarrassed in my life!” Song Yu laughed bitterly. One favor wasn’t nearly enough to make up for what happened today—wishful thinking!
