Chapter 118: Dong Lends a Hand in Training

After everything was settled, Dong set aside his troubled thoughts, deciding to train that group of people first and slowly figure out how to save Qian Yin. An Feng and Mo Lan drove ahead to lead the way, while Dong drove out by himself.
When they arrived at the police station, the officers were already preparing to rest. Seeing Mo Lan and An Feng return, they immediately straightened their formation. Though the formation was neat, their eyes were all fixed on Dong, curious about who this young man was—were they bringing him here to be a demonstration subject?
An Feng pulled Dong to the front and said very seriously, "Because we have matters to attend to, your instructor will be changed to him from now on. You may call him Dong. I hope you won't let me down. When I return, I hope I can see your growth."
The other officers looked incredulous. This little fellow was going to be their instructor and coach? Were those words serious?
"What qualifies him to train us?" Xiao Qi was the first to voice her dissent. An Feng could be their instructor because An Feng had the qualifications and the strength. But what about this guy? Wasn't he just someone who tagged along with Qian Yin?
"You're qualified police officers. You should know what it means to obey orders." Dong only said this one plain sentence. He was never impatient, never reproachful.
These words were overheard by the police chief, who had just come over to observe the situation. He shot an approving glance at Dong, then said, "I think this instructor is excellent. Since Mo Lan and An Feng have matters to attend to, go ahead and get moving! Stay safe."
An Feng saw the chief step in to handle things and nodded, taking Mo Lan's hand to prepare for an overnight journey.
The chief also wanted to see what Dong was capable of, so he turned to the side, ready to observe. If this young man was talented, he should be recruited into the station early. Judging by his relationship with An Feng, they were probably good friends.
The officers below were all extremely unconvinced. Liu Fei and Xiao Qi were particularly displeased. After all, they only acknowledged Mo Lan and An Feng—no one else had earned their respect.
"You are now under my training. Whatever I say, you do. If you're unhappy about it, come up and fight me. If I kill you, I won't be held responsible." Dong had a gentle temperament, but that didn't mean anyone could trample on him or ignore him.
That phrase, "if I kill you, I won't be held responsible," shocked everyone below. Was this something an instructor should say?
Xiao Qi was the first to step forward, saluted, and then got ready to begin. Dong glanced at this young woman, said nothing, and made a gesture indicating she should make her move.
Xiao Qi threw punch after punch aimed straight at the man's face. Clearly, she was striking with full force—she wanted to humiliate Dong.
A smile tugged at the corner of Dong's mouth. He let her throw more than ten punches at first, none of which landed on his face or even touched his body. When he'd had enough fun, he grabbed her fist and twisted it directly fifty degrees. Everyone heard a crisp "crack."

"It hurts!" Xiao Qi cried out in pain, trying to pull her hand free. Dong didn't let go. Instead, his other foot shot toward her knee, forcing her to drop to one knee.
The police chief's heart nearly leaped out of his chest at the sight. After all, this was his niece—he couldn't let her be treated so rashly. If she actually got hurt, his younger sister would never let him hear the end of it.
Liu Fei saw what was happening and was about to step in to help. Dong simply let go and turned his back to them. He said sternly, "I'm training you to save my sister Qian Yin. I'm not here to do An Feng a favor. Don't think I'll go easy on any of you."
Hearing this, everyone was stunned. Sister Qian Yin? An Feng's reputation didn't even count for anything? It seemed this guy wasn't someone to be trifled with. One by one, they lowered their heads and said nothing.
Liu Fei helped Xiao Qi to her feet. Without a word, he was about to take her to the infirmary to treat her injured hand.
"Stop right there. You're sparring with each other tonight. None of you are going home. From now on, I set the training schedule. If anyone gets hurt, I'll have a physician come and treat you. Begin." Dong's voice carried across the entire area.
The police chief saw this and felt that this fellow was training his officers to the point of death. What was he supposed to do now? An Feng had already left; it was too late to call him back.
The chief was about to step forward and say something when a single look from Dong stopped him in his tracks.
The other officers were still hesitating, not knowing how to start—who to fight, and how much force to use.
"Do I need to teach you how to fight? Go at each other with everything you've got!" After saying this, Dong pulled out his phone and stepped to the side, preparing to call Xian Lao to come over and treat the officers' wounds.
Sure enough, the men picked opponents at random and started brawling wildly—no technique, no order, each going all out. Anyone who didn't go all out ended up as the one getting beaten.
Liu Fei and Xiao Qi didn't join the fray. They stood quietly to the side, beginning to question Dong's methods. Wasn't this just hurting their own people?
When the call connected, Xiao Bei immediately sent Xian Lao over. On the training ground...
The battle ended within an hour. The police chief watched with his brow furrowed deeply, yet he didn't dare step forward to say anything, afraid of getting beaten himself.
When Xian Lao arrived and saw the wounded littering the ground, he was astonished. How had Dong trained them to collapse everyone so quickly?

After learning what had happened, Xian Lao immediately brought out his medicine. The uninjured officers promptly helped apply the salve. Because Xian Lao's medicine was highly effective, they recovered quickly.
Xiao Bei was even more delighted, stepping forward to clap Dong on the shoulder and say softly, "You've worn these officers out like this. Are you training them or taking revenge?"
"They're too weak. They can't keep up. Do you think these people are worthy of training at our facility?" Dong asked this question. They were too weak—whether in physical stamina or combat ability.
The police chief was off to the side frantically wiping sweat. Who were these two fellows, talking so dismissively about his officers? These officers were the best selected from among the masses.
The other officers were furious as well. They'd just been fighting each other, and now these two were standing here making snide remarks.
Under the glow of the lights, the training ground was both serene and eerie. A faint scent of blood drifted through the air, and a group of people sat scattered on the ground. Some lay half-reclined, others sat up while having their wounds dressed.
Xiao Bei nodded. Training these people was only for the sake of saving Qian Yin—they had to use the most effective and fastest method.
After the wounds had been treated, Xian Lao glanced at the police chief and said, "These two young men don't know any better. I hope you'll be lenient."
The police chief forced a smile, thinking to himself: What can I even say? An Feng and Mo Lan aren't here. If these two decide to beat me up, those officers probably couldn't stop them either.
Xiao Bei escorted Xian Lao back to the Mo residence, not lingering outside nor staying to train the officers with Dong. Xian Lao did leave behind plenty of bruise salve for the officers. After all, training with Dong meant many places would get hurt—some might even lose their lives.
Seeing those herbs, the officers' minds began to race: No way—does this mean they still have to endure a lot more injuries?
Liu Fei and Xiao Qi involuntarily swallowed hard. This was a deadly pace.
"Get a car ready. We're moving out now. This place isn't suitable for training." With that, Dong walked straight out, not bothering to look back at the people behind him.
