Chapter 127: The Storm Is Coming, and the Wind Sweeps the Tower!
"For these crimes, you should be sentenced to death!" Wumu reported truthfully.
The charge of intentional homicide alone was enough, not to mention the three other major offenses that preceded it.
"You dare sentence me? Who do you think you are?" Li Gong erupted with rage the moment he heard Qin Mu's words. Behind him stood the Jiang family; in this world, who would dare to pass judgment on him?
"Director!"
"Director Qin, you’ve finally arrived! You must teach this bastard a lesson for us!"
"Damn it, he burned all our records from this period! He even pushed Elder Hua into the fire! If we don't beat him to a pulp, we won't be able to vent our hatred!"
Seeing Qin Mu, the staff’s morale, which had been suppressed, soared instantly. Ignoring the thugs, they began to shout out loud.
"Brother." Seeing who had arrived, Jiang Zheng finally let out a sigh of relief, a look of gratification appearing on her face.
Qin Mu nodded slightly to the crowd, then glanced sideways at Li Gong, pointing a finger at the ground. "Pick that up, and then apologize to my staff."
Upon hearing this, Li Gong laughed as if he had heard a joke, his mouth twisting into a sneer. He contemptuously stepped on the silk banner on the ground again with force. "How hilarious! A bunch of lowly scum, and you think you deserve an apology from me, Li Gong..."
Before Li Gong could finish his sentence, the figure beside Qin Mu lunged forward. A fist, swift as lightning, crashed directly into Li Gong's chest!
The terrifying force poured into him; the bystanders could hear the sound of bones shattering through the air. It was likely that Li Gong’s internal organs had been pulverized by that single blow!
Li Gong was sent flying through the air, crashing into the fire. As he burned for several seconds, his screams were incessant, and the arrogance he had displayed just a moment before vanished in an instant.
Seeing this, the surrounding underlings took a moment to react before rushing in to pull Li Gong out.
"What are you all waiting for? Kill him! I want to hack off his hands and feet and present them to Young Master Jiang!" Li Gong spat blood, pointing at Qin Mu with hatred as he roared.
Qin Mu narrowed his eyes, as if he had heard something that displeased him.
The dozens of men summoned by Li Gong quickly formed a circle, drawing various weapons from their waistbands and closing in on Qin Mu.
"You lowly peasant, of all people to provoke, you had to pick Young Master Jiang!"
"If you don't die today, who will?"
The crowd clamored, and once they reached a certain range, they surged forward, surrounding Qin Mu from all sides!
There was no escape!
But before these men could even step within three meters of Qin Mu, he hadn't even moved half a step. Those who attempted to get closer saw a black shadow flicker before them, followed by a series of heavy, rhythmic thuds!
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
Dozens of people were knocked to the ground as if they were made of paper. Before they could even see who had hit them, many of the bones in their bodies were already shattered!
Seeing that this mob possessed no ability to resist, Wumu stopped, though he still looked as if he hadn't had his fill of the fight.
"Old San, come here and slaughter him!" Seeing his subordinates defeated, Li Gong was terrified and had to call for his greatest helper.
Old San arrived in response, stepping forward with heavy, thundering strides. He was the strongest martial artist under Li Gong, a practitioner of internal energy at the minor success stage, only a hair's breadth away from the intermediate stage!
Both men were as sturdy as mountains, and at a glance, they seemed evenly matched, with no clear advantage between them. However, Wumu's muscles were clearly more refined and practical, with every ounce of force utilized to its absolute limit.
"I'll cripple you within three punches!" Old San sneered maliciously. When it came to brute strength, he had never feared anyone!
But facing Old San, Wumu merely bounced on his toes to warm up, a smile on his face. "Come on, it's been a long time since I've had to put some real effort into a fight!"
At these words, Old San felt as though he had been insulted. "You’re courting death!"
Enraged, Old San swung his fist, aiming it directly at Wumu's head. To Wumu, the movement was agonizingly slow. He did not dodge or parry; instead, he braced his right arm and swung it to meet Old San's fist head-on.
The two fists collided with a violent crash!
*BOOM!*
It sounded like metal striking metal, a thunderous impact echoing through the air! Li Gong watched the scene with a smile, certain that Wumu was doomed.
But then, his smile suddenly froze on his face.
After the collision, Old San's thick right arm had been struck into a grotesque, deformed shape! It wasn't just his arm; the terrifying, vibrating force of Wumu's punch had shattered his entire right side!
Old San spat out a mouthful of blood, swayed for a moment, and then collapsed to the ground, motionless. He was clearly dead. A formidable martial artist at the minor success stage, nearing the intermediate stage, had not even lasted a single exchange against Wumu!
"Do you—do you know that I belong to the Jiang family!" Li Gong looked around, realizing that almost everyone he had brought was dead. In his desperation, he began fiddling with the emblem on his chest, hoping to use the prestige of the Jiang family to save his life.
"I know," Qin Mu said coldly.
"If you know, then listen! I am a direct servant of Young Master Jiang! If you dare touch me, not only will you be finished in this White Emperor City, but your entire family will die as well..."
*Crack!*
Just as Li Gong was issuing his threats, Wumu reached out from behind, grabbed him, and snapped his neck.
Qin Mu sighed, giving Wumu a side-glance. He had wanted to hear what kind of reputation this Jiang family actually had.
Wumu scratched his head and chuckled sheepishly. "Heh, I found him too noisy. I just finished a fight and didn't hold back my strength."
...
Meanwhile.
Jiang City.
The Flowing Water Villa.
This was a mansion built halfway up a mountain. With its luxurious decor and a panoramic view overlooking the entire city, it ranked among the top villas in Jiang City.
The Jiang family spared no expense; having only planned to stay for a few days, they had simply bought the magnificent estate outright.
