Hearing the shouts and curses behind him, Cheng Feng didn't dare to turn his head. He quickly identified his direction and began to run wildly. If his memory served him right, the Jiang Family Martial Arts Hall was not far from here.

Dumping a bowl of noodles on the heads of four construction workers was the kind of situation where he either had to be a master fighter himself or find someone capable of fighting on his behalf; otherwise, there was simply no way he would get out of this alive.

Dragging four men along on a wild chase attracted a lot of attention. Many people assumed he was a thief and pointed at him as he passed. Cheng Feng didn't care about their opinions, but his lungs were burning like fire. He had already sprinted through four streets and truly couldn't keep going! Had the Jiang Family Martial Arts Hall not appeared in his sight, he would have wanted to just stop and give up.

The four construction workers behind him had much better stamina than someone like him, who sat in an office all day. However, Cheng Feng was running surprisingly fast, and because they hadn't reacted in time at the start, they had been left a considerable distance behind. Just as they were within a dozen steps of catching him, the guy in front ran directly into a villa. The villa was large and had a courtyard. Strangely, the gate was open and no one was guarding the entrance, so the four men followed Cheng Feng inside without a second thought.

Cheng Feng was panting so hard he couldn't catch his breath; he didn't even notice the lack of guards at the door. In his mind, how could the entrance of the prestigious Jiang Family Martial Arts Hall be left unattended? Once in the courtyard, he stopped, grabbed his thighs with both hands, and started to gasp for air. He had barely taken a breath when the four men stood right in front of him.

"What the hell..." Cheng Feng was stunned. Was this really the dignified Jiang Family Martial Arts Hall, being broken into like this? Was there no one to stop them? According to the files provided by the Senluo Temple, wasn't the Jiang Family Martial Arts Hall supposed to be one of the top three in Shangjiang City? Had the city become so safe that people didn't even lock their doors at night?

"Hit him!" The four men had chased him for miles, and once they finally caught up, they didn't hesitate. They were simple, hard-working people, not the brainless supporting characters from TV shows who would waste time with empty threats. Their style was to act first and talk later.

Two fists are no match for four hands, and even a fierce tiger fears a pack of wolves—let alone Cheng Feng, who was now one man against eight fists! He managed to parry the first two strikes from the men in front of him, but the fists of the other two landed on him without resistance. "Thump! Thump!" The feeling of fists hitting flesh made Cheng Feng wince. He had clashed with Hua Tianyu a few times, but he had always been lucky; apart from a knock on the head that morning, he had never really been beaten up. This was perhaps why he kept trying to challenge Hua Tianyu—he never learned his lesson!

Being mobbed by four people, Cheng Feng couldn't take it for long. "Jiang Lifu, are all your family members dead? Why aren't you coming out?" The Martial Arts Hall was his only hope now; he shouted at the top of his lungs, hoping someone inside would hear him. He was losing his mind—had this massive hall been wiped out? Why was there absolutely no one here? It stood to reason that the commotion they were making wasn't small; why hadn't anyone appeared yet?

"Jiang Lifu, have you really been wiped out?!" Cheng Feng screamed in despair.

"You're the one who's been wiped out, you bastard! You dump noodles on me, and then you curse my whole family?" Jiang Lifu was furious to the point of exploding. He had just been sitting in a restaurant with his coworkers when someone inexplicably dumped a bowl of noodles on his head, scalding his forehead until it blistered! He had chased this guy for four whole streets, and just as he finally caught him and started to vent his anger, the brat started cursing his entire family. He didn't curse the other three, just him? "You old dog, you've got a grudge against me, don't you? If I don't beat the crap out of you today, I'm not a Jiang!"

"Jiang Lifu!"

"Damn you, you still dare to come at me!" Jiang Lifu kicked Cheng Feng in the waist, sending him tumbling. Before he could get up, Jiang Lifu sat on him, his calloused, labor-hardened hands balled into giant fists, raining blows down on his head. The other three, finding no room left to hit his upper body, started kicking Cheng Feng's stomach and legs.

"Jiang Lifu! You son of a bitch!" Cheng Feng roared.

"You still dare to curse me? Die!" Jiang Lifu roared back!

Ten minutes later, even Jiang Lifu had to admire the guy lying on the ground. He had a tough mouth; he had been cursing him the entire time he was being beaten! Even after having a few teeth knocked out, he was still mumbling and cursing his name! Did he really have that big of a grudge against him?

"What kind of blind fool dares to start trouble here?" Suddenly, a thunderous roar came from the villa gate. Jiang Lifu looked up and saw, oh my god, dozens of men dressed in uniform black clothes walking into the courtyard one after another. Upon seeing them, the men all performed the same motion: drawing weapons from their waistbands—some had clubs, others had machetes!

Years of experience in debt collection told Jiang Lifu exactly who they were up against. They were no match for these people. A thousand words condensed into one: "Run!"

Luckily, the villa gate was grand and wide, and because the members of the Jiang Family Martial Arts Hall had just arrived, those in the back hadn't yet realized what was happening. They hadn't expected anyone to dare cause trouble at their hall—usually, they were the ones causing trouble elsewhere. So, only a few people made a move to intercept them, but they failed. Jiang Lifu and his three companions were experienced in running from debt collectors; as soon as they cleared the gate, they split into four different directions and bolted. They couldn't run in the same direction, as that would allow the pursuers to focus their strength. With so many enemies, if they ran together, they would all be beaten; if they ran separately, the odds were the same. There was no difference! Usually, the pursuers would only focus on one or two directions, allowing the others to escape. As for the ones who got caught... the survivors would visit them in the hospital later!

"Boss, should we chase them?" Just as Jiang Lifu had guessed, the members of the Jiang Family Martial Arts Hall asked this very question. By the time their boss decided whether to give chase, Jiang Lifu and his crew had already crossed a street!

Jiang Lifu glanced at the four fleeing figures and then at the person lying in the courtyard, and said...
