Handsome Hao looked at the desolate Lao Xu and couldn't help but sigh. "I think, honestly, he's not a killer at all. He just can't let go of the regret from back then."

Wang Zixuan said, "What worries me now is if we just let him go back, he'll still go stir up trouble at the teahouse. Not a single day passes without someone giving me a headache. In the past, I would've locked him up for life with my temper."

Handsome Hao replied, "Big sister, don't be impulsive. I have an immature little suggestion."

Wang Zixuan said, "If you've got something to say, say it. Don't beat around the bush."

Handsome Hao hesitated, "But I also have a tiny request that's a bit embarrassing."

Wang Zixuan retorted, "Can you be a bit more straightforward?"

Handsome Hao began, "First of all, I want to thank you for your care and tolerance since I started working here, big sister. So, I'd like to invite you to soak in the hot springs in Japan."

Wang Zixuan cut him off, "First, tell me what your little suggestion actually is?"

Lao Xu returned to the old apartment building, glanced at the door number, and shakily tried to unlock the door. He fiddled with it for ages but couldn't get it open, and just then, a young girl opened the door.

She said, "Grandpa, you've got the wrong door again. Your place isn't here, go further inside." With that, she closed the door.

Lao Xu looked at the door number, scratched his head, and tottered further inside. He entered, turned on the light, sat on the bed, and began flipping through his diary, dreaming about his past self, and slowly drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, after tidying up, he took out his diary again, pulled out the fake gun and posed with it. Putting on his overcoat, he headed once more to the teahouse.

Lao Xu said, "Boss, pour me a glass of eighty-two tequila."

Handsome Hao handed him a drink and wiped down the bottle, slowly turning around. There was indeed a certain atmosphere to the scene.

Lao Xu took the drink and walked over to the only table of guests. Wang Zixuan, Little Deng, and Little Deng were all smiling at him. Lao Xu downed his drink, slammed the glass, and drew his gun, pointing it at Little Deng. Wang Zixuan pulled out her fake gun to face him.

Lao Xu: "Bang."

Wang Zixuan collapsed, squeezing the blood pack at her chest herself. Little Deng also aimed his gun at Lao Xu.

Lao Xu: "Bang."

Little Deng: "Ah!"

Little Deng's performance became even more exaggerated, his cries of agony so dramatic they bordered on comical. He tilted his head back and burst his blood pack. At this point, Lao Xu finally aimed his gun at Little Deng. Little Deng raised both hands, slowly lay down, and looked at Wang Zixuan.

Little Deng said, "I have an immature little suggestion."

Wang Zixuan replied, "You just want a bonus, don't you? I'll give you a fifty percent raise when we get back. Satisfied now? I always keep my word. But you better act well for me right now, or else—"

Little Deng said, "No, I got nervous and forgot my lines."

Wang Zixuan said, "Just wait till we get back and see how I deal with you. Forget the lines—just act like you usually do, all swagger and bravado."

Lao Xu was growing impatient as he switched guns from hand to hand. Little Deng smoothed his hair and slowly sat up.

Little Deng said, "Stupid, kill me—do you think you'll get away?"

Lao Xu replied, "That's none of your business whether I get away or not. What did Boss Meow actually tell you?"

Little Deng said, "Does it matter what he said? Not really. Anyway, we can never go back to how things were."

Lao Xu said, "No one wants to go back. Since you won't say, let's settle things here. Bang."

Little Deng: "Ah."

Lao Xu glanced around, then raised the gun to his own head. No one wants to go back.

Handsome Hao: "Cut, that's a wrap."
